I'm not a big golfer. Because I was expected (read: required) to play golf with customers in my early days in Corporate America, I now tell people when they ask if I play golf that "I only play when I have to.
But, golfers are interesting. They teach us a lot about practice, patience, resilience, and skill. These traits transcend into leadership.
The best quote I heard recently was from Ted Scott, the caddie for Scottie Scheffler. I always try to take away some nugget from other professionals I meet, because I can always learn. I try to surround myself with people who have skill sets that can complement mine (I don't need another me!).
