Leveraging Social Media for More Than Self-Promotion

If you use social media regularly, taking yourself off topic at times can show your interest and personality, something that can help people better understand who you are. After all, we are not always about business. And people do business with people, so showing your personality helps. Talking about outside interests or observations is a great way to connect with your audience on a deeper level and show that you care about the things that matter.

Take, for instance, designated days or months. July is UV Safety Awareness Month. We have all seen the effects of the sun on people who did not have the products or resources that we have today. I know some people who are so tan that it just hurts to look at them. I know how my skin would feel if it were that damaged and bruised.

As summer heats up, it's crucial to protect ourselves from harmful UV rays. Here is a reminder of how we can stay safe from the sun:

Wear Sunscreen: Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30 every day, even on cloudy days.

Use Sunglasses: Protect your eyes with sunglasses that block 100% of UV rays.

Seek Shade: Avoid direct sun exposure during peak hours, typically from 10 AM to 4 PM.

Wear Protective Clothing: Long sleeves, hats and other protective clothing can shield your skin.

By staying UV safe, we can enjoy the sunny days of summer while keeping our skin healthy.
